Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships and grants are types of aid that do not have to be repaid and that can help to directly reduce your tuition expenses. Eligibility is usually based on academic merit, financial need and/or talent in specific areas.

Scholarship and grants can come from many sources, whether it be from federal or state government, the public sector, or private businesses. Governments provide grants based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act, while private businesses may award scholarships based on an essay. Dominican awards the majority of its scholarships and grants based on academic merit and/or financial need.
