As an institution using human beings as research participants, Dominican is required to provide an assurance to the Federal government that includes a statement of principles governing the institution in the discharge of its responsibility for protecting the rights and welfare of human participants or research conducted at, or sponsored by the institution, whether the research is participant to Federal regulation or not (45 CFR 46.103.b.1).

IRB applications submitted after December 5, 2025 will be on-hold until faculty returns on January 20, 2026. Your application will be reviewed in the order received.

The deadline for IRB application(s) to be reviewed is on the last day of final examinations and applications must be submitted by the last week of class. For application(s) submitted after the deadline, review process will be resumed (in the order received) the following term beginning the first day of classes. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for dates.
