Dominican students can participate in student-organized volunteering to make a positive impact and serve in the local Dominican community.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering your time is a wonderful way to give back to your community, while earning valuable experience and making friends.

Serve your peers every Tuesday at the Penguin Pantry, a pop-up food bank for all students, organized in collaboration with the SF-Marin Food bank.

Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to help set up the pantry, serve and clean up. All Dominican students are invited to stop by the Penguin Pantry between 12:30-3:20 p.m. to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables as well as non-perishable items. (Bring your reusable bags and drop off any extras!)

Bring joy and engagement to the retired sisters at Lourdes Convent, the retirement/care center for the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael.

Lourdes residents have great stories to share about Dominican’s history, and they love it when students visit the convent (located across the street from Bertrand Hall) to pray, read and walk with them.
