Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)
Satisfy your curiosity. Sharpen your mind. Share your passions. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Dominican University of California was designed for lifelong learners like you.
Adult learners in Marin County and the greater Bay Area can pursue an array of enriching, educational offerings from OLLI. For more than 15 years, we’ve offered older adults fun, challenging learning opportunities on our beautiful, serene San Rafael campus.
Each session our schedule includes non-credit courses, workshops, and clubs and “Food for Thought” luncheons. Led by expert academics and accomplished artists and writers, our courses typically meet weekly over the course of four, six, or eight weeks. Most class periods are just under two hours. In addition to courses on our main campus, you can also find classes at senior residences and other Marin County venues.
Exploration of Multiple Subject Areas
OLLI courses are not-for-credit. This means there is no homework, exams, or grades (and no pressure!) It’s learning for learning’s sake. You’ll find non-credit courses and workshops in many topical areas, including:
- Art history
- History, politics and economics
- Literature and language
