Your child has potential to learn violin, viola, cello or piano through integrated private and group lessons at Dominican. You play a prominent role in the Suzuki method, attending lessons and creating the practice environment.

Meet Our Faculty


Julie Mellon, BM, University of Colorado at Boulder; MM in Violin Performance with emphasis in Suzuki Pedagogy, The Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford. Violin studies with Jennifer John. Suzuki long term training with William Starr and Linda Fiore. Orchestral and chamber music experience.


Barbara Wampner, BMEd, Northwestern University; MA Cello Performance with Margaret Rowell at San Francisco State University; Certificate of Graduation, Talent Education Institute, Matsumoto, Japan. SAA Registered Teacher Trainer.


Josephine C. Sanchez, BS, Medical Technology; BM, Piano Performance, Philippines; MM in Piano Pedagogy, Holy Names University. Piano studies with Betty Woo. Suzuki piano studies with Caroline Fraser, Doris Koppelman and Doris Harrell. Piano accompanist.
