Gigi Gokcek, PhD
Gigi is a Professor of Political Science. She joined the Dominican faculty in 2006. Previously at Dominican, she directed the Honors Program and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2012. Gigi offers courses in international relations, as well as comparative politics, and conducts research in the areas of international security, development, education, in addition to active and engaged learning. Her current research focuses on women in legislative office globally, innovative pedagogies in the teaching of international relations, and faculty development. She is the former chair of the Women’s Caucus at the International Studies Association.
