Vineyard; Ecology and Environmental Sciences

Environmental Chemistry students toured Treasury Wine Estates to learn about the evolution of the vineyard soil through exposed trenches that revealed cross sections of ground for observation.  Students took samples for further testing, and listened to host and Dominican alumnus Jenna Charton talk about the advantages and challenges of grape growing and winemaking in the region.

Our course offerings include Conservation Biology, Marine Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Geographic Information Systems, and more. When you study Ecology and Environmental Sciences at Dominican, you will have access a wide array of courses to satisfy the full range of your academic pursuits.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in an internship, directed research, independent study, and a unique teaching assistant experience at the undergraduate level.
