Margaret is passionate about educational equity and the creation of trustworthy spaces for engaging in heartfelt, often difficult, conversations. Prepared as a facilitator by the Center for Courage and Renewal in 2005, she serves as a mentor for those in facilitator preparation now. She previously directed the Courage to Teach© program at Dominican and the Leading Together© program at the Center for Courage and Renewal. She co-created the Millennium Forum for Educator Well-Being, an online community to help educators embody the social and emotional capacities they seek to develop in their students. Margaret lives in Berkeley, California with her partner, David, and is the proud mother of two amazing young women. She enjoys the practice of yoga, long walks in the hills, travels to the sea, and quality time with family and friends.
