Josephine Sanchez, MM

Josephine is a piano instructor at the Suzuki School of Music at Dominican. She holds a master of music degree in piano pedagogy with Suzuki emphasis from Holy Names University, where she studied piano performance with Betty Woo and Suzuki piano pedagogy with Caroline Fraser, Doris Koppelman, and Doris Harrell.

Josephine is a member of the Suzuki Music Association of California, Bay Area piano branch leadership team, where she built and launched the organization's website in 2012. She is also a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California, Marin County branch, where she has registered students in the Certificate of Merit program—some who have received either the Branch Honors Award, State Honors Award, or both.

Josephine is active in church music ministry, currently focusing on St. Raphael Parish (where she also worked as interim music director) and Filipino Simbang Gabi in Marin. Part of her work is promoting Philippine music in cultural gatherings, including a Philippine music concert held at Dominican University in 2009.
