Jordan Gonzales, PhD, ATR-BC, LMFT
Jordan is an artist, board certified art therapist, and licensed marriage and family therapist. A product of the department he now stewards, Jordan continues to build on the over 45 years of distinguished art therapy tradition of the program while supporting the faculty and students who make it what it is. Jordan has a passion for art therapy neuroscience with a special interest in artmaking’s effects on the autonomic nervous system. As an artist, Jordan works across a range of media — ceramics, photography, watercolor, collage, painting, and digital work — moving between materials as different ways of seeing and making. His work across clinical practice, teaching, research, and training is united by a core belief in art's capacity to heal, teach, and build community.
