Jacob is a professor of Strategic Management in the Barowsky School of
Business. He joined Dominican in 2011 and teaches courses in management, including Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Global Consulting. His general research interests focus on social responsibility, environmental management, and broader issues of sustainability in organizations. He has published his research in journals such as the International Journal of Organizational Analysis, Emerging Markets Case Studies, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, and International Journal of Operations & Production Management. Jacob also has a keen interest in Latin America. He speaks Spanish and more recently learned Portuguese. Prior to entering academia, he worked professionally as the environmental director for a federally recognized American Indian tribe in El Paso, Texas.

Research Interests

Jacob's primary research interest is in sustainability. Emerging themes in corporate social responsibility (CSR), such as small and medium enterprise CSR, strategic aspects of CSR and business sustainability, and sustainable development in Latin America represent several past and current research areas. Pedagogical research has been of recent interest to Jacob, and he has published several teaching cases as well.
