The Department of Housing and Residence Life fosters an inclusive and engaging environment for all students.

We offer housing for 500 students in three on-campus residences, including Edgehill Village, Fanjeaux Hall, and Pennafort Hall, plus one off-campus residence, the Dominican Townhomes.

Learning and Development

The Dominican Experience goes way beyond what happens in the classroom. A major component of students’ learning and development also takes place in campus residence halls, so with this in mind, the Department of Housing and Residence Life provides co-curricular opportunities for education and reflection through weekly programming, hall activities and one-on-one sessions with resident advisors.

Our carefully planned and executed programs explore myriad topics ranging from social justice and civic engagement to academic achievement and identity exploration. Some of our activities include fun, casual meetups such as ice cream socials and game nights, while others include more socially conscious efforts such as “Safe and Brave Spaces” facilitated by student and professional staff members.

Resident Advisors

Each hall/community includes a live-in resident advisor (RA) trained in the areas of mental health, crisis response, conflict resolution, and diversity awareness. These staff members address concerns when they arise and hold nightly office hours with an open-door policy for all students. The residence halls also have three full-time, live-in professional staff members who assist with issues or incidents that require a more extensive response.
