Reporting to the Vice President, this position is responsible for the engagement, cultivation and solicitation of planned gifts. This position manages Dominican University's overall gift planning program. Additionally, the successful individual will be required to have substantial knowledge of charitable gift planning vehicles, a proven track record of gift solicitation experience and success, and the ability to strategically engage donors to incorporate Dominican University in their financial and estate plans.
Dominican University of California is seeking a dynamic individual for an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions position. As part of an established and successful undergraduate recruitment team, this position will promote the value of a Dominican education and work to recruit, evaluate, and admit freshman and transfer students to the University to help meet recruitment goals. Dominican University of California is seeking a dynamic individual for an ILS Events and Conferences Director position. Supervised by the Executive Director of Dominican’s Institute for Leadership Studies, the ILS Events and Conferences Director will plan and manage all of production details of ILS lecture events and conferences, including event planning components of the executive education training workshops. Special events will include, but not be limited to, lectures, workshops, receptions, dinners, and special entertainment programs, executive education event set-up. Dominican University of California is seeking a dynamic individual for an Administrative Coordinator, Faculty Development position. The Coordinator organizes programs and events to support excellence in teaching and the meaningful integration of high-impact practices with technology-mediated instruction. With guidance from the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and in collaboration with the academic units, the Coordinator conducts research on specialists in technology-mediated instruction and organizes faculty development sessions for members of the Dominican faculty and the faculties of Dominican’s consortial partners. Faculty development sessions may involve guest speakers from outside the community, faculty/staff/student panels, seminars, webinars, workshops, or trainings that incorporate new technology and/or discuss best practices for technology-mediated instruction. The Coordinator cultivates advisory relationships with subject-matter experts who provide input or deliver training and professional development activities. Dominican is seeking an entry level Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning Fall 2015. The successful candidate will teach a broad array of courses in literature, composition, and possibly creative writing. In addition to offering majors in both English and Creative Writing, the Department of Literature and Languages supports the University’s General Education program, Adult Degree Completion program, and the interdisciplinary M.A. in Humanities. Workload is 4/3.
The Assistant professor is a full-time nine-month tenure track faculty appointment. Responsibilities include teaching courses for the special education credential program, including topics in assessment, behavior, autism, and early childhood. In addition, candidates for the position will supervise student teachers and intern teachers.
