Welcome Holy Names University Students!
We realize that your academic journey has taken an unexpected turn, but you couldn’t have come to a more welcoming and supportive place! We’re here to make transferring to Dominican easy and painless so that you can keep moving toward your goals without interruption!
If you were admitted to an undergraduate program at HNU, you will be automatically admitted to Dominican for Summer/Fall 2023. Depending on your major/discipline and academic standing, you may need to meet additional requirements. If your current major will not be offered at Dominican or you do not meet the qualifications for the Dominican major you wish to enroll in, you will be offered an alternative option. For undergraduate students, Dominican will match HNU tuition for individuals as per their award letters.
Graduate students will need to meet with the Department Chair to further discuss details – please contact a graduate counselor.

We want to make your transition to Dominican is as easy as possible, so we are offering all HNU transfer students a special transfer scholarship to assist with adjusting to your new university. For undergraduate students, Dominican will match HNU tuition for individuals as per their award letters.

Dominican offers career relevant Bachelor’s Degree Programs across many fields of study including health and sciences, business, arts and humanities as well as education. All students participate in applied learning such as internships, research and community projects and receive personalized coaching from day one. If you are currently in a degree completion program, you can finish your Bachelor's Degree through our Adult Degree Completion Program.
Earn your degree in Leadership and Management, Psychology, or Literary and Intercultural Studies. Our affordable, flexible program is designed for working professionals who have been out of high school for at least 6 years.

Intercollegiate Athletics
Dominican is a NCAA Division II school and competes in the Pacific West Conference. Our amazing athletes have won numerous PacWest achievement awards. If you are a student athlete from HNU we want to meet you!
