World Affairs Council announces fall program series

Dominican continues its long-standing partnership with the World Affairs Council in presenting a series of lectures for fall 2016. The World Affairs Council offers a forum to share dialogue and discussion about topics that are timely and global in nature.

Lectures are held in Dominican Caleruega Dining Hall located at 100 Magnolia Avenue in San Rafael. All lectures begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and the discussion at 7:50 p.m. Dominican students can attend the programs for free.

•    Thursday, September 22:  Putin/Russia with Edward Walker, adjunct associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley.

•    Thursday, October 20: Syria/ISIS with Fred Lawson, professor of government at Mills College.

•    Wednesday, November 16: Combat Journalism with Tim McGirk, veteran investigative reporter, magazine writer and former Time magazine bureau chief,

•    Wednesday, December 7: International Trade Agreements with Vinod Aggarwal, Travers Family Senior Faculty Fellow and Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of California, Berkeley.
