Two new undergraduate scholarships announced

Dominican President Mary B. Marcy has announced the creation of two new undergraduate student scholarships at the University.

Thanks to Dominican Trustee John Boneparth and his wife, Gail Harris, the generous gift will fund a pair of $2,500 scholarships that will be awarded for undergraduate students continuing in fall 2016.

The first scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student who participates in the Recreational Sports program in spring 2016.  Any undergraduate student who participates in at least one Recreational Sports program this spring will have their name entered into a drawing for a $2,500 scholarship to be awarded in fall 2016.

The second $2,500 scholarship was awarded to Olivia Reynolds after her name was drawn from a list of students who attended each of the remaining women's and men's basketball home games in Conlan Center on February 4, February 20, and February 22.

Boneparth is Founder and Managing Partner of Corinthian Cove Consulting LLD and Harris is a national Emmy Award-winning journalist for public television (PBS) and public radio (NPR). Both are actively involved as mentors in the Barowsky School of Business
