Students invited to enter the "Penguin Tank"

The Women, Leadership and Philanthropy Council of Dominican University of California (WLPC) is offering student teams the chance to win up to $1,000 in support of their club or group by entering the “Penguin Tank.”

The Penguin Tank is an “investment” competition open to all Dominican student clubs, groups, and associations to support their leadership and service efforts. The winning team will win $1,000, the second-place team will win $500, and the third-place team will win $250. The prize money is to be used for training/development, conferences, and programming.

On the application, each team must outline how the prize money will be spent, the anticipated outcomes of the award, and the long-term impact the award will have on the campus and community. The top seven group applicants will be invited to make a 90-second “pitch” on October 18 at 6 p.m. in the Garden Room in Edgehill Mansion.

Application forms are available in Guzman 105. Or, contact Mary Bussi at mary.bussi@dominican.edu.
