Dominican University of California Hosts College for Kids

Dominican is participating in College for Kids, a new program created by the Marin Education Fund to nurture a child’s desire to attend college — with college day tours being one part of the program.

On Wednesday, September 28 two third grade classes from Coleman Elementary School will be on Dominican’s campus from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

From 11:30 until noon, the visiting students will meet with members of Dominican’s science faculty and a representative of the National Park Service. The faculty will present hands-on activities focusing on science (chemistry, ecology, sea life, animals, and the environment). This will take place on Anne Hathaway Lawn, located between Albertus Magnus and Guzman Hall.

Here’s the schedule:

10:30 a.m.
Visiting students and their teachers will meet at the Conlan Recreation Center.

Visiting students will tour campus with Dominican’s Student Ambassadors.
