Dominican participates in Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Campus Ministry, along with Siena Leadership Team, Student Honors Board, Resident Advisors, and the Psych Club, hosted Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week at Dominican starting November 18, with the Hunger Banquet in Creekside Room.

On November 19, SLT presented the movie "Just Eat It" in Creekside Room from 6-8 p.m. The Psych Club also staged a Winter Clothing Drive with a drop-off in Bertrand Hall.

November 21 was a full day dedicated to hunger and homelessness awareness. From 8:30-10:30 a.m. there was bagel fundraiser in Guzman Hall that raised nearly $400 for Ambassador of Hope and Opportunity (AHO). That event was followed by a lunchtime event on the Caleruega Dining Hall Plaza featuring the Happys band.

From 6-8 p.m. youth speakers shared their experiences with Ambassadors of Hope and Opportunity at a keynote address in Creekside Room before a Solidarity Sleep Out on Caleruega Dining Hall Plaza began at 9 p.m. followed by the Solidarity Sleep Out Reflection breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Friday in Caleruega Dining Hall.
