Art chair exhibiting in San Francisco Public Library

Lynn Sondag, chair of Dominican’s Department of Art, Art History and Design, exhibited her landscape paintings at “The Presidio – Start Here: Explore, Play, Learn in a New Kind of National Park” through September 24, 2015 in the main branch of the San Francisco Public Library.

The free multi-dimensional exhibit was open during normal library hours in the Wallace Stegner Center for Environmental Studies, located on the fifth floor of the library at 110 Larkin Street in San Francisco. It was designed for people of all ages to explore the Presidio by showcasing the many ways that they can learn, play, create, hike, experience, and enjoy the national park.

Sondag’s watercolor images capture the magic of wandering along the Presidio’s trails. As part of the program, she and Presidio Trust Chief Park Officer Michael Boland talked about the relationship between art and place at the Koret Auditorium on July 18.
