Alexander String Quartet to Perform Sunday, May 7

The Alexander String Quartet will close Dominican University of California’s 2005-2006 Guest Concert Series with a performance on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. in Angelico Concert Hall.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Alexander String Quartet is one of the world’s premier ensembles, widely admired for its interpretations of Beethoven, Mozart, and Shostakovich.

The program:

Mozart Quartet in G Major, KV 387
Shostakovich Quartet No. 7 in F-Sharp minor, Op. 108
Beethoven Quartet in C Major, "Razumovsky", Op. 59 No. 3

Tickets are $18 for general admission and $15 for students, seniors over 60, and music teachers. Admission is free for Dominican faculty, staff, and students with valid University ID. Tickets are available for purchase one hour prior to each performance. Angelico Concert Hall opens 30 minutes prior to the performance for seating. Free parking is available in the lot at the intersection of Grand and Acacia avenues.
