With a focus on the teaching aspect of library and information science, Nnekay has worked in many different iterations of the field. From public libraries, to bookmobile, to serving as the Head Librarian at St. Ignatius College Prep. Making her home in her one true love of Academic Librarianship, Dominican was a welcomed respite. Along with librarianship, Nnekay has spent her time as a comedy writer with the sketch group Nice Tan, co-hosted a podcast, Minority Korner and is currently looking for other creative outlets.

Research Interests

Nnekay spends her time researching the best practical uses for information literacy; how it can be utilized both in an academic sense and outside of it. She's also spent a lot of time gathering information regarding the topic of identity and how race and gender intersect.
