J. Vincent Nevins, LMFT, PhD
Vince is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology. He has maintained a private psychotherapy practice in the SF Bay area since 1988. Vince specializes in couple and family therapy and integrates traditional systemic and constructivist approaches to relational growth. Vince was trained in depth-oriented psychodynamic forms of therapeutic engagement and incorporates this into his innovative work with clients and students alike. Vince lived in the Washington, DC area for 12 years and practiced in Northern Virginia where he continues to offer psychotherapy consultation.
Vince has taught Couple Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy and Practicum Seminar in various graduate programs on both coasts since 2000. Vince has served as Practicum Director for the Counseling Psychology Department at Dominican University of California since 2014 and has expertise in all facets of MFT/PCC licensure requirements for graduate students in the state of California as delineated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
