Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry works with the University community to help individuals develop and strengthen their spiritual lives. With the Dominican ideals of study, reflection, community and service as our foundation, we engage with our community in an ecumenical spirit.

We Welcome All

We celebrate the richness of our different spiritual experiences and provide programs and opportunities for growth and understanding. Our service trips, volunteer opportunities and student groups guide students toward a spiritually enriching experience at Dominican.

Campus Ministry offers communal prayer and contemplative practices to help students learn and grow in faith and understanding. We invite you to engage in the Dominican ideals of contemplation and reflection at Get Away Days, weekend retreats, and week-long on-campus retreats.

Reflection and Retreat Days

  • Celebrating our Dominican Community
  • Interfaith Ministry
  • Catholic Ministry
  • Meditation

Service Opportunities

Saint Catherine of Siena wrote that we must “walk on two feet,” with “love of God and love of neighbor.” Campus Ministry offers many opportunities to serve:

  • Volunteer at the weekly Penguin Pantry food bank
  • Assist a retired sister
  • Participate in an alternative spring break trip
  • Attend social justice awareness events

Penguin Ideals Club

Community is the ideal that builds on the power and influence of respectful, inclusive relationships. The Penguin Ideals Club (PIC) meets weekly to embrace one of the ideals in a fun and inviting format.

Siena Leadership Team

The Siena Leadership Team is unified, diverse and welcoming. Through our actions, we inspire students to explore their beliefs and live out the Dominican ideals of study, reflection, community and service. Student leaders are the heart of Campus Ministry!

Be who God meant you to be, you will set the world on fire.”
— Saint Catherine of Siena
