Conlan Center

Its gymnasium is home to the Dominican basketball teams and women’s volleyball. The gymnasium is open for student use, including intramural competition as well as alumni, staff, plus Dominican neighbors.

John F. Allen Athletics Complex

Officially dedicated on November 2, 2012, the John F. Allen Athletics Complex is a state-of-the-art facility located on the west end of campus, adjacent to the Conlan Center. The complex, named in honor of the chair emeritus of the Dominican Board of Trustees, is anchored by a new regulation 120-by-76 yard multi-purpose synthetic turf field – named in honor of Trustee and donor Jerry Kennelly. The field is designed for the Penguins’ soccer teams, lacrosse team, and community use including programs that benefit under-served youth. The site encompasses Dominican’s historic amphitheater, plus a restroom/sports medicine facility.

The complex also contains six regulation tennis courts, Penguin Field (softball), and a 100-space parking lot. Vehicle entry into the complex is at 890 Belle Avenue. Pedestrian access from campus is accessible via a foot bridge from the Conlan Center parking lot.
