Seating for Participating Faculty

The Faculty, President's Cabinet, and platform party (Trustees, President, and Commencement speaker) will wear academic regalia and sit on the stage, under the tent, for the duration of the ceremony. The Office of Academic Affairs will provide faculty with detailed instructions on how to process into the tent in advance of Commencement day.

Regalia Rental Information for Faculty

1. Should you need to rent regalia, complete the Regalia Rental Order Form <<link to 2019 form>> (even if your order has not changed since last year) and return to Karen Sheppard, Bookstore Manager*. To ensure delivery prior to Commencement, it is recommended that all orders be turned in to the Bookstore no later than Friday, March 8, 2019**. Please note: If you’re interested in purchasing fine quality regalia, please contact the Bookstore in January or February to ensure production and delivery before Commencement; all fine quality gowns are custom made to your measurements.

2. Pay by cash, check, or credit card for your rental at the Bookstore.

3. Pick up your regalia at the Bookstore during normal business hours when you have been notified of its arrival. Please hang it up as soon as you can to release wrinkles; if necessary, use an iron or steamer on low.

*If you are unable to visit the bookstore in person to place your order, complete and submit this Credit Card Authorization Form <<link to form>> to Karen Sheppard, Bookstore Manager, at bookstore@dominican.edu.

**Note doctoral hoods may take up to 8 weeks to ship.
