Congratulations on your admission to Dominican University of California! We are excited to welcome you to our community. Here are the next steps that you need to take as an admitted student.

Next Steps:

1. Make your tuition deposit

Submit your $250 tuition deposit here. Tuition and Housing Deposits are non-refundable after May 1.

2. Apply for Housing 

Apply for housing and make your housing deposit by May 1. Housing is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for those students who deposit by the May 1 deadline. If you have questions about housing, please contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life at 415-485-3277 or housing@dominican.edu

3. Set up your Dominican Gmail account

Once you have deposited, you will receive an email to set up your student Gmail account. Contact Information and Technology Services with questions. 

4. Take your Placement Assessments

You will receive an email with the Placement Assessments that you are required to take, if any. Complete the pre-registration form included in the email. 

5. Get your Penguin Pass

You can get your Penguin Pass during Penguin Business Day or at New Student Orientation.

6. Check your Financial Aid

Sign into Financial Aid Portal and verify that all documents have been submitted to Financial Aid by June 15th. If you have not already done so, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

7. Complete Academic Advising Session & Register for Classes

You will receive an email from your Academic Advisor and/or Integrative Coach with guidelines on how to arrange an advising session. You may register for classes after you have had an advising session. If you plan to live on campus, you will not get your housing assignment until after you are registered for classes. 

8. Understand the Tuition Billing Structure

A payment plan is available to all students. Once you are registered, you can contact Business Services to obtain tuition information or to set up the payment plan. If you are filing for financial aid, your anticipated financial aid may not appear on your account immediately.

9. Immunization and Health Insurance

Provide Immunization Records & Proof of Medical Insurance. Information about medical insurance and medical forms will be mailed to you.  You’ll need a physical, so plan ahead!

10. Request your Final Transcripts 

Send us a final transcript that confirms your graduation. If you attended a community college during high school please send us those transcripts as well. Student Athletes should send a copy of their final high school transcript(s) to the NCAA Eligibility Center.
