Next Steps:

1. Make your tuition deposit

Submit your $250 tuition deposit. Tuition and housing deposits are non-refundable after May 1 for fall and December 1 for spring.

2. Apply for Housing

Space in our residence halls is still available! Housing is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply for housing and make a deposit to secure your place. Priority is given to students who deposit by May 1. Contact your admissions counselor with questions about the housing application or making your deposit.

3. Set up your Dominican email account

Once your deposit payment has processed, you will receive an email to set up your password and your student email account by activating your OKTA account. Complete the steps in this email to create your password for your Dominican email account. Next, log into your Dominican email account at using your student email address and the password you entered into OKTA . Contact Information and Technology Services with questions. In order to take your placement assessments and register for classes, you must set up your student email address.

4. Take your Placement Assessments

You will receive an email with the Placement Assessments you are required to take, if any. In order for you to register for classes, your assessment(s) must be completed prior to your scheduled Penguin Business Day. Log in to your student email to access the placement assessments.

5. (For Fall entry ONLY) Sign up for Penguin Business Day — Complete Advising, Registration, and more!

You will receive an email invitation to come to campus to have an advising session and register for classes on a Penguin Business Day. You must have made your tuition deposit, completed any required placement assessments, and signed up for your Dominican email account prior to attending a Penguin Business Day. If you live more than two hours from campus, you can schedule a phone or video advising appointment instead of attending Penguin Business Day by completing the request form that was emailed to you (you'll need your Dominican email to access it). If you plan to live on campus, you must register for classes to receive your housing assignment later in the summer!

6. Get your Penguin Pass

You can get your Penguin Pass during Penguin Business Day or at New Student Orientation.

7. Check your Financial Aid

Sign into Financial Aid Portal and verify that all documents have been submitted to Financial Aid by June 15. If you have not already done so, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

8. Understand the Tuition Billing Structure

A payment plan is available to all students. Once you are registered, you may contact Business Services to obtain tuition information or to set up your payment plan. If you are filing for financial aid, your anticipated financial aid may not appear on your account immediately.

9. Immunization and Health Insurance

Provide immunization records and proof of medical insurance. Information about medical insurance and medical forms will be mailed to you.

10. Request your Final Transcripts

Send us a final transcript that confirms your graduation. If you attended a community college during high school, send us those transcripts as well. Student athletes should send a copy of their final high school transcript(s) to the NCAA Eligibility Center in addition to Dominican.
