Admitted Students

Congratulations on your admission to Dominican! We are excited to welcome you to our community.

Your next steps as an admitted student are:

1. Make your tuition deposit

Submit your $250 tuition deposit here. Tuition and Housing Deposits are non-refundable after May 1st.

2. Apply for Housing

Apply for housing and make your housing deposit to secure your place in housing. Housing is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to students who deposit by May 1. If you have any questions about the housing application or making your deposit, contact your admissions counselor.

3. Set up your Dominican email account

Once your deposit payment has processed, you will receive an email to set up your student email account. Contact Information and Technology Services with questions.

4. Take your Placement Assessments

You will receive an email with the Placement Assessments that you are required to take, if any. Placement Assessments can completed remotely.

Review your Transfer Course Evaluation (Boxes 2 and 4) to determine whether you need to take the Chemistry and Math Placement Assessments. Nursing Transfer students who have taken Intro to Chemistry will not need to take the Chemistry placement assessment.

5. Get your Penguin Pass

You can get your Penguin Pass during Penguin Business Day or at New Student Orientation.

6. Check your Financial Aid

Sign into Financial Aid Portal and verify that all documents have been submitted to Financial Aid by June 15th. If you have not already done so, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

7. Complete Academic Advising Session & Register for Classes

You will receive an email from your Academic Advisor and/or Integrative Coach with guidelines on how to arrange an advising session. You may register for classes after you have had an advising session. If you plan to live on campus, you will not get your housing assignment until after you are registered for classes.

8. Understand the Tuition Billing Structure

A payment plan is available to all students. Once you are registered, you can contact Business Services to obtain tuition information or to set-up the payment plan. If you are filing for financial aid, your anticipated financial aid may not appear on your account immediately.

9. Immunization and Health Insurance

Provide Immunization Records & Proof of Medical Insurance. Information about medical insurance and medical forms will be mailed to you.  You’ll need a physical, so plan ahead!

10. Request your Final Transcripts

Please request a copy of your official transcript from your final semester to be sent.
