Financial Aid

We never want to see tuition get in between a promising student and a Dominican education. Dominican offers many financing options to graduate students, along with personal attention as you navigate the Financial Aid process.

Applying for Aid

Graduate students need to complete the following two steps to apply for financial aid:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at  Don't forget to include Dominican's School Code, 001196.  Application for the 2018/2019 school year may be completed after January 1, 2018.
  2. Complete the Dominican Application for Financial Aid.

When to Apply

It is recommended to begin early so as to ensure that there is ample time to complete all necessary steps.

Dominican will not process financial aid paperwork until a student has been admitted, however, candidates can begin the financial aid application process at any point in the admission cycle, even if they have not yet applied.

Not sure that you will attend Dominican? The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) allows you to select up to seven institutions to receive your financial aid information. Adding the Dominican code (001196) just ensures that should you complete your application and receive admission, your information is immediately available to the Dominican Office of Financial Aid staff to process at the time of admission.

Benefits of Applying

  1. Federal education loans are designed to make graduate school feasible for all students. Candidates who do not think that they can afford to attend graduate school are strongly encouraged to consider how these federal loans can benefit them and their long term personal and professional goals.
  2. For students who intend to pay for graduate school out-of-pocket, applying for financial aid early in the admission process can provide students with a safety net should they need the financial assistance after the semester starts.
