Adult Degree Completion Program

There are several scholarships for which ADC students may be eligible. The ADC Scholarship, the Crankstart Re-Entry Scholarship, and the Osher Re-Entry Scholarship.

Adult Degree Completion (ADC) Scholarship

Adult Degree Completion Program Scholarships are available based on financial need and level of enrollment. You must apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA, the Dominican Financial Aid Application, and any other documents that may be requested.  Although the deadline for applying is rolling, Dominican strongly recommends applying at least 4 to 6 weeks before your program or semester starts.

  • Who is it for? Adult Degree Completion students on the San Rafael campus
  • Criteria: At least half-time enrollment (6 units/semester)
  • Deadlines to Apply: Rolling
  • Disbursement Date: The first week of the Fall and Spring terms and the end of June for Summer

Crankstart Re-Entry Scholarship

The Crankstart Foundation assists students who have had an interruption of five or more years in obtaining their first baccalaureate degree.

  • Who is it for? Admitted ADC students.
  • Criteria: Experienced an interruption in their educational pursuits of five or more years.
  • Amount: Up to $5,000, scholarships must be applied towards tuition and fees.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Submit a scholarship application, submit the FAFSA and Dominican Financial Aid Application, and maintain at least half-time enrollment (6 units per semester).
  • Essay: Applicants must submit a typed essay (one page maximum) explaining why they experienced an interruption and why resuming their undergraduate education is important to them. Please highlight any challenges and/or hardships endured as well as any academic qualifications, achievements, and the commitment towards obtaining the degree.
  • Deadline to Apply: Extended to June 24, 2018 at 9:00 PM

Osher Re-Entry Scholarship

The Bernard Osher Foundation assists students who have had an interruption of five or more years in obtaining their first baccalaureate degree.

  • Who is it for? Admitted ADC students and Admitted Transfer students pursing the combined Liberal Studies Bachelors/Credential.
  • Criteria: Experienced a cumulative gap in the pursuit of a first Bachelor's degree of five or more years.
  • Amount: Up to $5,000.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Submit a scholarship application.
  • Essay: Applicants must submit a typed essay (one page maximum) explaining why they experienced an interruption and why resuming their undergraduate education is important to them. Please highlight any challenges and/or hardships endured as well as any academic qualifications, achievements, and the commitment towards obtaining the degree.
