Communication and Media Studies grads make their marks on the information industry as they enter careers in marketing, radio and TV broadcast, advertising, public relations, journalism and entertainment and education media.

amanda aguilarAmanda Aguilar,'13 Graduate Student, American University.  Upon graduation, Amanda was staff reporter for the Pleasanton Weekly. She is currently a graduate student at American University in Washington, DC. pursuing her master's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs. Amanda graduated in May 2013 with a degree in Communications and Media Studies with an emphasis in Multimedia Journalism.

 

amanda aguilarDana Blaine, '14 Account Manager, Mogo Marketing + Media, is employed with Mogo Marketing + Media, an integrated media and digital marketing firm that was ranked #49 on the 2014 list of Bay Area's Fastest Growing Private Companies. She graduated in May 2014 with a degree in Communications and Media Studies and an emphasis in Organizational and Corporate Communications. 

 

Carletta O'NealTanya Carlsson, '13 Public Relations Manager, Kulesa Faul, graduated from Dominican with a BA in Communications and Mass Media Studies. She currently works as a high tech PR Manager for Kulesa Faul, a mid-size public relation agency based in Silicon Valley. Kulesa Faul provides expert public relations, social media and content marketing services to enterprise technology companies.

 

amanda aguilarMichael Wells,'11 Associate Director of Athletics Occidental College, in Los Angeles, CA. He is also the Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach at Occidental College and graduated with a Bachelor's in Communications and Media Studies in the Spring of 2011.

 

 

Carletta O'NealMariah Chinchilla, '14, Marketing Coordinator,NBC News, graduated currently works for NBC News in New York, NY as Coordinator in the marketing department. She produces and distributes content as well as promotional tools for all New York based shows including TODAY, Nightly News, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and SNL to over 235 local NBC news stations. She graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors in Communications with an emphasis in Organizational/ Corporate Communications and Journalism.

 

amanda aguilarEugene Rinehart, '11, Field Operations Support Specialist, Sungevity, has worked for four years in the residential solar industry and is currently the Field Operations Support Specialist at Sungevity, a leading solar power company power company and B-corporation based in Oakland, CA. He graduated from Dominican in 2011 after majoring in Multimedia Communications with a writing emphasis. Among his best memories at Dominican are the nights spent working overtime on The Habit, helping to ensure and excellent issue every time.
