2018 Introductory Retreat

In this introductory Courage to Teach® retreat, 25-30 participants will gather for a weekend at the beautiful Santa Sabina Retreat Center on Dominican's campus in San Rafael. In group and solitary settings, "the heart of a teacher" will be explored, using personal stories, reflections on teaching practice, and insights from poets, storytellers, and various wisdom traditions. Participants are invited to speak honestly about their lives and work, and to listen and respond to each other—and to themselves—with encouragement and compassion.
Past participants report renewed passion for work and a deeper commitment to serving others, gaining greater clarity about their vocation, and inspiration to do their best work with the students, families, colleagues, and communities they serve.
