Dr. Endicott joined the department in 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. He is responsible for the overall operation of the science building and its laboratory spaces, equipment purchasing and maintenance, and the safety policies of the department. He has served for 4 years on the campus safety committee and has been trained in several disaster response programs such as CERT and Get Ready Marin. He supervises two laboratory technicians and a host of work-study students who perform the daily classroom experiment preparations.

Alex joined the department in 2017 after graduating from Dominican University of California in the Spring semester. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with an Environmental Chemistry Emphasis. During her time as a student at Dominican she worked hand in hand with other students, faculty, and staff not only in the classroom but also for research and more. While studying at Dominican she spent four years as a Work Study in the Edgehill Mansion Student Life offices working with Lauren Castro and the team, and three years working as a Work Study in the Stockroom with Christopher Endicott; now her job takes on more of the serious day to day lab responsibilities. Currently Alex carries out the daily preparations for a range of chemistry and physics laboratory courses offered at Dominican, and also provides research support wherever needed. When not at work she enjoys spending time going on adventures with her partner Matteo, and taking time to brush up on the latest nature documentaries.

Cynthia Harms

Cindy joined the department in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is responsible for coordinating communication, scheduling, programs, events and all other administrative tasks. Prior to working at Dominican, Cindy worked in the non-profit industry with the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation, and 15 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Outside of work Cindy is a Reiki Master Practitioner, enjoys flamenco dance classes, museums, performing arts events, and being outdoors. She serves as an advisor for her national sorority’s collegiate chapter at California State University East Bay-Hayward, and is a mentor in the mentor/mentee program for her sorority’s collegiate chapter at the University of Virginia.

 

Lindsay Harris, MS

Lindsay joined the department in 2017 after relocating to the Bay Area from south Florida. She holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Biology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. For her thesis research Lindsay studied the sensory biology of fishes, focusing on the electrosensory system in stingrays. Before relocating, she worked in marine fisheries research as a Port Agent for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. Lindsay carries out daily preparations for a wide-range of biology and chemistry laboratory courses offered at Dominican and also provides research support for the Science Center’s marine lab. When not at work, Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner Matt and their chihuahua mix Ruby.

 


Victoria Worch

Victoria joined the department in 2015. She brings with her 14 years of experience working in higher education. Her specialty is in the area of advising, student life, and leadership. Victoria has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University and a Masters Degree in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to working at Dominican, Victoria was the advisor for the Associated Students at Cañada College and Napa Valley College. Some fun facts about Victoria: She is a published writer, a yogi, loves dark chocolate and tea, and when she is not advising, she is enjoy life with her family of fraternal twins girls Ellie and Lily, oldest Sam and her German video game designer husband Matthias. Victoria is responsible for academic and professional advising.
