"I work at Cloverdale Healthcare Center, where I completed my level 2 fieldwork and am the Director of Rehabilitation! Thank you for placing me at such a wonderful company and supplying the knowledge and skills from basic Therapy to the Medicare system, without which I would not be where I am now! No other school prepares their students for the business, insurance and program development side of therapy better than Dominican. I would like to give back to the DUOT program by supervising OT fieldwork students of my own."

Occupational therapy is a licensed health and human service profession that helps people gain the skills they need to live lives of meaning and purpose, whatever their age or ability level. Our occupational therapy program offers comprehensive classroom and clinical education in all aspects of practice. You will also learn how to conduct research, design community-based programs, develop management and leadership skills, and implement occupationally focused education for wellness and health promotion.

Our selective program is designed to ensure that you get the attention and support you need to be successful. As a student, you’ll have access to small classes, individual attention from faculty, and academic support resources designed with you in mind. If you enjoy a challenge, there are opportunities for research projects, special fieldwork placements at top rehabilitation facilities, international experiences, and creative program development in community settings.

Our full time faculty members have a wide range of clinical, research and teaching skills. They are joined by adjunct faculty who are practicing clinicians with advanced certifications. All are dedicated to teaching and are motivated to provide you with a dynamic, interactive, challenging and rewarding education.
