School of Health and Natural Sciences

Welcome to the School of Health and Natural Sciences (HNS) at Dominican. HNS is the largest school in the university and includes undergraduate and graduate studies in Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Counseling Psychology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Global Public Health, Mathematics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies.

Many HNS classes are located in Meadowlands Hall, set in the garden-like campus of Dominican, with picturesque landscape architecture and a year-round view of Mt. Tamalpais.


We will prepare you for careers in diverse fields, for personal and intellectual growth in a challenging environment, and for life in an ever changing technologically advanced world. The school is committed to the cultivation of intellectual curiosity, individual integrity, mutual respect, and civic responsibility.


All programs emphasize the connection between professional knowledge and practice. Extensive experience in applying theoretical knowledge in clinical, fieldwork, or research settings is an important learning component in the School of Health and Natural Sciences.
