MBA Admissions and Financial Aid

A degree from a private university like Dominican University of California is more accessible than you might think. 

A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution of higher education is required to apply to our graduate programs. GMAT and GRE Not Required

    A one-page essay describing professional and/or personal goals and reasons for obtaining the above graduate degree
  5. One Letter of Recommendation or Interview With The Dean
    Letter of recommendation: Academic or professional, on letterhead.
  6. Prerequisite Requirements
    Requirements must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the undergraduate level,
    • 3 units of Microeconomics
    • 3 units of Macroeconomics
    • 3 units of Statistics/Quantitative Methods.
    • Students who do not meet these prerequisites are required to successfully complete BSB’s tutorials in Quantitative Methods and/or Economics during their first semester of study.
  7. International Applicants
    International candidates must meet additional admissions requirements.

MBA Concentrations

The MBA with concentration in Business Analytics prepares students to efficiently communicate and analyze business data to streamline decision-making processes. This concentration offers a mix of state of the art tools and techniques used in business analytics to solve key business problems. Graduates of this concentration would be equipped with a deep understanding of topics such as data security, programming for data analysis, data visualization, and database management.

The MBA with concentration in Global Business equips students with managerial, leadership and entrepreneurial skills necessary to succeed in the competitive global marketplace. Students will learn how to navigate across various geographic regions, conduct international risk assessment and turn institutional voids into business opportunities, formulate strategies and business models in foreign markets, and gain cross-cultural intelligence.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance is a program that equips students with skills in finance. The goal of this concentration is to develop graduates who are skilled in financial management.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Marketing is a program that equips students with skills in marketing. The goal of this concentration is to develop graduates who are skilled in marketing management.

MBA Program Format

Students can either pursue a one-year or two-year program. We accept applications for both fall and spring starts. 

One-year MBA students will take two courses over a seven-week (two-month) period.

  • Meet Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Saturday.

Two-year MBA students take one course over a seven-week (two-month) period.

  • Meet Tuesdays or Thursdays and every other Saturday.

International Programs

The Online Master of Business Administration (OMBA) for China program is a one-year, 36-unit, intensive program available exclusively for working professionals in China who are interested in acquiring business and management skills from a U.S. university. All courses are online and delivered in Mandarin. The goal of the OMBA for China program is to develop Chinese graduates who can make sound managerial decisions and responsibly lead their organizations.

The program consists of 12 three-unit courses with an optional Silicon Valley Immersion course. Classes are asynchronous with synchronous faculty office hours.
