Research Collective

The Dominican Research Collective nurtures a cross-disciplinary scholarly community at Dominican and supports individuals in furthering their research agenda.

Participating in the Dominican Research Collective was one of the highlights of my first year on faculty here. It is so important to have a community of scholars willing to collaborate and spend time supporting the work of colleagues. The Collective was an excellent way to stay engaged in the writing process and broaden my skills via an interdisciplinary team process.

Launched in fall 2014, the Dominican Research Collective (DRC) is a venue for individuals at Dominican interested in furthering academic research projects with the support of other scholars on campus. Over the course of an academic year, members meet monthly to present their scholarship to their peers, receive feedback, and revise their work for publication, conference presentation, or dissertation. The DRC is intended to nurture a cross-disciplinary scholarly community at Dominican and to support individuals in furthering their research agenda.

Membership is on a first-come, first-served basis for Dominican researchers committed to actively participating in all monthly meetings throughout the academic year. Those engaged in the production of creative projects accompanied by written work are welcome.
