The Penguin Tank
Dominican Student Groups present projects to WLPC judges (program is in conjunction with DUC Office of Advancement). Student competition based on the TV show Shark Tank. Student groups present on a program/concept they want to create. Three of the projects win ($1K, $500, and $250) grants. Open to all DUC students. The focus will be leadership. Students to receive coaching for their presentations/ideas from WLPC members. Sign-ups for coaching & judging positions will be available at the “Bring a Friend Breakfast” on 9/7. All members welcome.

LEAP Event: Film Screening of True Cost {This film is a story about clothing. It’s about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?}
