Dr. Ramsey has been an occupational therapist since 1985 and founded the OT program at Dominican University of California in 1996. She teaches research, program development, senior project, and expressive therapy courses in the curriculum. Her research interests include role-emergent, community-based practice in OT, innovative approaches to teaching OT, and the use of expressive therapy in conjunction with OT. Ruth currently serves on the Commission for the American Occupational Therapy Association, is a member of the Psychiatric Occupational Therapy Action Coalition steering committee, and participated in the AOTA Mental Health Partnership Project.
