Eileen Herrmann-Miller's work focuses on Modern American Playwrights and, particularly, on the work of Eugene O'Neill.  Twice a Fulbright recipient, she has taught courses in Modern American Playwrights and playwrighting at Johannes Gutenberg Universitat (Mainz, Germany).  She is the author of several articles on O'Neill; and is a Board member of the Eugene O'Neill Foundation for which she serves as Production Manager responsible for locating promising playwrights, true to the spirit of O'Neill, deserving of Foundation sponsorship.  She is currently at work on a book titled "Lefties, Radicals and Bohemians:  The Left and O'Neill" to be published by McFarland Press.  Her other research interest is that of  Metaphor and Modern American playwrights.
