Leonardo da Vinci
Dr. Chretien is an expert on all aspects of Italian Renaissance, women in early modern Europe, and art history. She has created Interdisciplinary courses on women in the ancient world and a seminar on Leonardo da Vinci. Dr. Chretien is the author of "The Festival of San Giovanni: Imagery and Political Power in Renaissance Florence." She often leads study groups to Italy during the summer.

Dr. Ross is an
expert in the field of medieval art and illuminated manuscripts. In
addition to numerous encyclopedia entries and book reviews, she has
published three books with Greenwood Press: "Text, Image, Message:
Saints in Medieval Manuscript Illustrationsm," "Medieval Art: A Topical
Dictionary," and "Artists of the Middle Ages." Dr. Ross is the recipient of a Fulbright Grant, as well as awards from the Kress Foundation, a Graves Award for Excellence in
Teaching in the Humanities, and Research Awards from Dominican
University. Dr. Ross serves as Chair of the Program Chair for Art
History. Her regularly offered graduate seminars include: Language in
the Visual Arts, Written and Visual Communication, The History of
Gardens and Landscape Design, and Structures of Faith.
