Dr. Ghosh's research interests are in the areas of economic development, health, women's health in Africa and Asia from an economic and social perspective. She has written a number of articles dealing with the AIDS epidemic and economic development in India and Africa. Dr. Ghosh is the co-editor of "HIV/AIDS in Africa: Beyond Epidemiology.” Her current research focuses on HIV/AIDS in Malawi, India, and the Indian Diaspora in eastern and southern Africa. Her research has been published in Asian Profile, Geographical Review, Social Science and Medicine, and Geography.
