Elizabeth Capener has 16 years' experience teaching adults in graduate, undergraduate, and professional certification programs. She has taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced financial accounting; managerial accounting; finance; and financial statement analysis. She instructed the finance section of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Exam Review and the managerial accounting section of both the Certified Public Accountant Exam Review and the Certified Management Accountant Exam Review. Capener also writes and instructs customized seminars in accounting and finance for private companies and government entities. She is a Certified Public Accountant and an alumna of KPMG Peat Marwick. Each spring she involves her students in Tax-Aid, which offers free tax preparation services to low-income families in the Bay Area.
