Graduate School & Career Fair - Dominican Campus
On Thursday, April 12, from 1 - 5 p.m., a Graduate School and Career Fair will be held in the Conlan Center, adjacent to the poster sessions. Many top-notch graduate schools and employers have been invited to participate in the fair. This will be a great opportunity for NCUR attendees to meet with schools and employers representing a wide variety of academic programs and professions. Job and internship postings will also be available.
Thursday Night Bay Cruise - San Francisco
Experience the best that the Bay Area has to offer during this event: a three hour cruise around the San Francisco Bay, a delicious buffet dinner, dancing to the music of DJs and the spectacular San Francisco skyline. The cruise will take place from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. and transportation in between the Dominican campus, boat dock and hotels is included. Tickets can be purchased for $58. Conference attendees wishing to attend this event must sign up when they register online for NCUR.
Friday Evening Mexican Fiesta Dinner – Dominican Campus
Join your fellow NCUR attendees at this festive event! A Mexican Fiesta buffet dinner will be served from
5:00 – 7:00 p.m. You’ll enjoy savory south of the border food and be entertained by a strolling mariachi band. Tickets can be purchased for $25. Conference attendees wishing to attend this event must sign up when they register online for NCUR.
Tours
The following tours have been arranged for Saturday, April 14. All tours will depart at 2 p.m. from the Dominican campus. Conference attendees wishing to participate in one of the tours must sign up when they register online for NCUR.
Welcome to San Francisco City Tour
$50 per person - 5 hours
This tour features the most popular San Francisco highlights including the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, Pacific Heights, Golden Gate Park and the Haight Ashbury district.
Wine Country Tour
$85 per person - 6 hours
Enjoy a spectacular afternoon in the Sonoma Wine Country. You will be treated to behind the scenes wine tastings and private winery tours. Tour participants must be 21 or over and provide proof of age.
Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz Tour
$65 per person - 4 hours
This tour includes a ferry ride to and from Alcatraz. Enjoy a self-guided audio tour of this infamous landmark, view prison cells and hear stories from former inmates. After returning from Alcatraz, there will be free time at Fisherman's Wharf for shopping and sightseeing.
Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour
$50 per person - 5 hours
This tour visits one of the most accessible groves of California's famous coastal redwoods. After visiting Muir Woods, there will be free time in the quaint bayside village of Sausalito for shopping and sightseeing.
