Placement Testing
Placement Testing for All Incoming StudentsTo place you in the classes that will contribute to success in your studies here at Dominican, the Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC) administers placement tests in Computer Competency, English, Math, and Chemistry. You will not be able to register for classes until you have taken your placement tests. All tests except Chemistry are administered in a computer-based format. For information about the tests and to access downloadable forms (pdfs), please click the appropriate links on the left. If you are unable to take your placement tests at Dominican, click here to access information about testing at a distance. For Freshmen OnlyTo begin the process of placement testing, you will receive by snail mail a letter and the First Semester Pre-Registration form. After your placement tests, an academic advisor will schedule your Fall 2008 classes. Your schedule will be mailed to you in early August. If you have not yet chosen a major (Undeclared), please contact: If you do not know who your advisor is, please contact: After you and your advisor have agreed on your coursework and have completed and signed your Registration Form, you will need to take it to the Office of the Registrar in Bertrand 108, where you will register for classes. The Registrar’s Office is open Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
