Dominican University of California is a fully accredited, independent, international, learner-centered university of Catholic Heritage about 12 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Why Dominican Students?Founded in 1890 by the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, Dominican fosters a reflective attitude combined with social commitment and integrity in our students. With a student-faculty ratio of 11 to 1, Dominican is able to successfully blend personal direction associated with smaller schools with the academic resources of a larger university. The diverse student body comes from across the United States, although primarily from Northern California. Students are also here from 21 foreign countries.
