What's happening at Dominican in Spring 2013

Dominican University of California is offering an exciting array of lectures and presentations, musical and dance performances and art exhibits, receptions and athletics events during Spring of 2013. The following events are open to the general public and all members of the Dominican community. Most events are free, except where noted. Free parking on campus is available in the Conlan Recreation Center parking lot at the intersection of Grand and Acacia avenues. Contact information is included with each listing. Stuart Rudick, Founding Partner of Mindful Investors, and Tom Serres, CEO and Co-Founder of Rally.org, are featured panelists for The Business Edge Briefings Breakfast presentation of "What Is Crowdfunding, And What Can It Do For You?" at Creekside Room. It is co-hosted by Dominican's Institute for Leadership Studies and the School of Business and Leadership. Yun, who represented the United States in negotiations with Pyongyang, North Korea, during his tenure with the State Department as senior East Asian specialist, will be guest speaker for the Marin chapter of the World Affairs Council of Northern California in the Creekside Room. The "What Is North Korea Up To?" presentation will start with a reception at followed by dinner, dessert and the program. Dominican's Summer Sports Camps season begins on campus. There are sports camps for children ages 7-12 for basketball, flag football, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, volleyball and multi-sports Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through August 9. Cost is $315 per camp, which includes tuition, swim sessions in the Conlan Center pool, camper certificate, camp T-shirt and lunch.
