The Dominican/BioMarin Lecture Series
The lectures, free of charge, will be in Guzman Lecture Hall, located in Guzman Hall on Acacia Avenue in San Rafael. Parking is available in the lot at the intersection of Grand and Acacia avenues. The lectures will begin at 5 p.m.
This is a special series of talks led by BioMarin scientist Dr. Michael Vellard, an adjunct professor in Dominican’s Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Each talk with feature scientists from BioMarin discussing a specific area of expertise.
Dr. Vellard, who joined BioMarin Pharmaceutical’s research department in 1999, directs research focused on finding treatments for rare genetic diseases, including Phenylketonuria and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
