NCUR is an annual event designed to promote undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study. Since its inception in 1987, NCUR has become a major annual event drawing over 2,500 undergraduates, faculty, and administrators to hear and discuss undergraduate creative and scholarly work by means of topical sessions with 15-minute oral presentations, interdisciplinary poster sessions, artistic performances, and visual art exhibits
NCUR will consider abstracts from students involved in a variety scholarly and artistic activities representing a range of disciplines including creative arts, mathematics, business, social science, humanities, physical and life sciences, natural resources and engineering, among others. The deadline for NCUR 2007 abstract submission is Friday, December 1.
All abstracts must be submitted via the online abstract submission process. Applicants will receive email notification of acceptance or rejection of their abstract on or before January 19, 2007.
Attendance at NCUR has become an annual event for Dominican, growing from eight Dominican students accepted to present in 2002 to 41 students accepted to present in 2006. Students represent a variety of departments, including biology, history, art history, education, art, English, humanities, interdisciplinary studies, political science, and religion.
