The candidates are, in alphabetical order, Susan Adams, Andy Caffrey, Brooke Clarke, William Courtney, Larry Fritzlan, Michael Halliwell, Jared Huffman, Stacey Lawson, John Lewallen, Tiffany Renee, Dan Roberts, and Norman Solomon.
The debate was hosted by Dominican and the League of Women Voters of Marin County. It was free and open to the public. Dominican President Mary Marcy moderated the 90-minute debate.
Community Media Center of Marin (CMCM), public cable television access in Marin, live streamed the debate. CMCM also will re-broadcast the debate on Channel 27 on Marin’s cable system and Satellite Channel 99 on April 19 at 5 p.m., April 21 at 8:30 p.m. and April 22 at 1 p.m. It will also stream on demand on the LWV Blip site on April 22.
The current 2nd Congressional District seat is being vacated by retiring U.S. Representative Lynn Woolsey. The newly-formed district includes all of Marin County and the coastal portion of Sonoma County in the south and all of Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity Counties in the north.
California primary elections are June 5.
